Merck using ghostwriters for research studies?
I’m not sure what bothers me more, the questionable ethics of the academic ‘scientists’ or that of the drug companies. I guess I’m too use to big pharma’s behavior to be that surprised and I expect the academics to know better…
The reports claim Merck & Co. frequently paid academic scientists to take credit for research articles prepared by company-hired medical writers, a practice called ghostwriting.
